B Team in the Cup

In a repeat of the previous weeks league fixtures two team very similar to the previous weeks competed in what turned out to be a much more competitive game. Cheadle were not as clinical up front as they had been the previous week, JA had a great game and his clearing had a positive impact. A makeshift attack saw DJ and Adam join the veteran Chris Livesey, we moved the ball well and created lots of chances scoring some nice goals. Danny M was strong in midfield winning most of the procession at the face and making some surging runs. In a surprise to all concerned a late Tom S goal took the game to sudden death. In unchartered waters for the B team we held our nerve and with the Cheadle defence focussed on Danny M, DJ took his man to the goal and found the top corner with a classy finish. A great team performance all round and the B team have a semi final to look forward to.
